I started wearing eyeliner at age 12, but I'm mature for my age. I get mistaken for 17 and 18 a lot, and I'm only 14. I think it depends on the PERSON rather than the age. But what mom says, goes.

Hey girl, you are too young to wear makeup. Wait till you clock 16 or 17, as for me starts wearing makeup at the age of 18, right?

you should be happy you can talk on the phone with your guy friends then. i would say that if you really felt you should be wearing makeup talk to your mom. when i wanted to start my mom let me get clear mascara and tinted lip glosses. it is a start and it is makeup. plus i like the clear mascara, it never got clupy or fake looking. just talk to your mom. i am sure you will be able to work something out, if not, respect her. she knows what is best for you know matter what you think and what your friends are doing.

You are at the perfect age, to starting worrying more about your skin rather than make up. Just focus on getting a good system for keeping your skin fresh, young and healthy like Arbonnne's Intelligence Skin Care line.
You should be fine with some lip gloss..You are young and you don't need the wrinkles.

I don't think you are. Just make sure when you do that you don't put on a lot of eyeliner. Just start off with a little makeup like eyeshadow and clear or brown mascara, so it will look natural. If you want you can put on a little eyeliner, but just a little because it's very easy to over do it. My mom lets me do this to my 12 and a half year old sister when she has bar and bat mitzvahs and it looks really good.

No i personally do not think you are too young to wear makeup. Just when you do start wearing makeup that you do not put too much on or it will not look right. Makeup is suppose to look natural on your face, not as an addition.

Just my opinion, but I think you should keep the makeup to an absolute minimum for everyday purposes - maybe a faint lipstick only. For special occasions, like a party or something like that, a little bit more is OK, but not to the extent that an adult woman would use. Just take it easy, you've got lots of time to wear makeup in your life to come.

That is around when I started wearing makeup. Just tell your mom you want to wear clear mascara, some lip gloss and maybe even a light shade of eye shadow. That should ease her concern for you. I bet she is expecting you to wear tons of bright shades which can look trashy on young ladies.

No, you're not too young. I started wearing makeup every day at age 11 (although then it was just a spot of mascara) and now I'm 15 I wear foundation, lip balm, eyeliner and mascara every day lol.

NOOOOOO WAY
Every single Girl in my year at my school wears makeup I am 14 and I know that the girls in the year BELOW wear it too
but start acting more mature and hse will soon realize that you are sensible enough to wear it in the mean time wear lip balm (looks like lip gloss) But its not makeup !!! lol
Apply vaseline also to your eyes makes them have a natural glow
wear tinted moisturizer its like foundation but its not classed as makeup
Take care of your skin by cleansing it morning and night!
