Saints fans, who do you think we should take in the first round? A lot have people have been talking about Greg Olsen, the TE from Miami, but with the signing of Eric Johnson and re-signing of Billy Miller, we have two productive guys at that position. A glaring need in last season's defense was lack of speed and cover skills at cornerback. New Orleans upgraded the saftey spot with the signing of Kaisevarin (think i spelled it wrong) who had 6 INTs last year. They should target CB in the first round, and with a deep pool of CB talent, they should be able to get a quality guy at #27. My hopes that either Pitt's Darrelle Revis or Texas' Aaron Ross is available at this spot. If both are off the board, then they should take the best player available, possibly a WR.

Definitely need to find a quality CB, without a doubt. Our CB's got a beating last year. Texas' Aaron Ross is my choice undecided. But I dont think they should go after a WR just yet. I think Terrance Copper might turn out to be better then everyone thinks. #1 issue is our secondary defense.

As much as I would like to see Aaron Ross drop down this far, its unlikely that it'll happen. Though that doesn't change the fact that the Saints need help on D, especially their CB's. From what I've seen so far in the mock drafts, it seems Chris Houston from Arkansas is the popular choice. Though I've also seen him go before Ross so its just a matter of how things work out. But they should be aiming for a CB or a LB at this spot in the draft.

Olson is tempting but cornerback is the big need. Ross and Houston probably will be gone and Revis had a nice Pro Day to raise his stock, so the best availble corner at 27 will be Marcus McCauley from Fresno State. He has the measurables (6 feet, 1 inch tall, 4.39-4.48 in the 40) but he was beaten a lot last year and benched. But some scouts say this was because FSU was bad last year and the coaches did not want to risk injury.

To all the Saints fan ya need to improve the run stop defense.ya were top offensive team all around and have a good pass stop defense and put pressure on QB but stopping the run hurt ya and ya lost games cause of that. Ya should get a LB in the draft or DT that can clog up space and stop the run or get a LB that can stop the run if the oppossing team RB runs outside. 2nd round need a great sppedy and coverage guy because Fred Thomas is a nickle bag DB but not a steady guy who struggling covering deep passes. remember stallworth when he played with the eagle play against the saints and had a 75 yrd deep catch on thomas. Once ya stop the running game, saints will be a scary team to play instead of a sleeper in previous seasons ago

As a Saints fan, I'm not worried about drafting anoybody. Im concerned about Deuce McAllister's future with us. But, I think we need to revive our aging secondary, or we will continued to get burned deep by second-rate receivers. I am also a Texas Longhorns fan, so I would pick either Aaron Ross, or Michael Griffin, the saftey with good speed. Both had great Pro Days'.

nice year the saints had, should be seeing them in the playoffs again. anyway, yes CB is a possibility and aaron ross is a great choice. i also think they can go with someone who can stop the run. the saints run D if i remember correctly wasnt that good. so maybe they can go with someone along the DL or LB.

For CB, I would definitely give Cal's Daymeion Hughes as shot as your 2nd round pick. He may not have a great 40 time, but he has great instincts and he might get you a few interceptions.
