You can start plannig now or wait a little while...My advice is if you plan on going to college GO BEFORE YOU GET MARRIED! I graduated in 1999 and was married in 2000. I so wish that i would have went to a 4 year college first, because now i can not seem to find the time. Life kinda gets away from you after you marry. We have two wonderful children but sometimes wish i would have waited a while before i married. I was 19 When we got married and i sometimes feel like i missed out on life as a young adult because I went from being a high school grad to being a wife.

Good Luck

Just because you agree to get married doesn't mean it has to happen immediately!! Take your time!! Please read below- and check out the link I added for you. While it does have some religious undertones the basic information is extremely accurate and helfpul! Please slow down- life isn't a race.

Young marriages, especially teenage marriages, can face extra strain due to the fact that young people often have not prepared for the reality of marriage. Couples sometimes find that what they want at 25 is not the same as what they wanted in their teenage years. The research is clear that young people have a better chance in marriage if they wait until they are older to marry.

That is not to say that if you are in a teenage marriage or young marriage that you can't have a good marriage. Many couples that marry young end up having a very fulfilling marriage. However, we believe that relationship skills can be taught, and those who learn how to communicate and deal with conflict have a better chance at an enduring marriage.

well, you either marry him or tell him you were wrong.

Need some more information to really answer this. I think that high school is too young to get married.

That being said, I married my high-school sweetheart. I married her 4 years after high school though. We'd both grown up enough to know who we were, and we're really happy now. If we'd have rushed it back then, who knows what would have happened.

Tell him you want to wait, stay together and see what happens. Or tell him you want the wedding date to be like 3 years out. Be engaged, see what happens, and enjoy life. If it's meant to be, then it's meant to be.

Wow, you're soooo young. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just really early in your life to make such a life-long decision like that. I would think long and hard on this one. What plans have you two made? Is he your age too? Are you two going on to college? How's that going to work? You have a lot of things to consider. I strongly encourage you to not rush into this and make sure that you are absolutely BOTH ready.

... my humble opinion, it's way to soon in your life - reconsider.

Don't marry him until he has finished his education and has
a GOOD job and career path...
Never have kids out of wedlock..
Get a good Pre-Nup..
Never marry a guy you know to have personality, character or
behavior problems, they will only get worse after marriage...

Delay it until after college!
Just because you said yes doesn't mean it has to be tomorrow. It would be better for you to complete your education before tying the knot.

hold off on the marriage until after you finish school. Then you'll know for sure if your love can stand the test of time.
