iPod problems!?

My iPod has some problems! I have for 3 years now, it's the first iPod photo edition and there are times that when I turn it on it won't show me any songs and the memory will be shown as empty and full at the same time! I formated it twice but it keeps doing that! Also sometimes it will get stuck and while i hear a song will go to the next song and the next and the next without actually playing them, just passing them, and i don't hear anything. When that happeneds I have to wait till the battery is dead and then charge it again and then it will be normal! What is the problem? What do I have to do?

maybe if you lock it 3 times and press the middle button and the menu button for 5 seconds that might help

Try and flick the Hold tab back and forth about 5 times. Then hold the menu and select button until it shuts off and the Apple sign appears. Hope that helps. If that does not work u may have to send it back to Apple.

Have you tried checking the files inside the iPods memory. Not the iTunes, but opening up the folders.

I know if you reformat it then should delete all of the things, but my friend had to manually delete inside the folders.

mine did that once i never knew what had happened though...what stopped it was i plugged it in my computer and let it sit there for a while.......ou should call/email the apple company..or even go to one of their stores their is an apple store in the mall in my town..there might not be one near you though..i would call.....hope the problem gets fixed.....

you already did all the steps in trying to fix your ipod so the next big thing is tech support. sorry!
