Cancun and Cabo San Lucas are both very nice. The night life in Puerto Vallarta is wild and would be much more fun for single looking for another single than for a couple.

I've been many times to all 3, but call me biased I love Cabo the most.

All 3 have the same nightlife, all three have the same activities or at least similar, same food, same knicknacks, same atmosphere. Cabo is more desert like, Cancun is humid and tropical, and PV is a mixture of the two. Swimming/snorkeling in the bathtub warm carribean ocean is way better, as the pacific ocean can be a bit rough with an slight undertow. Most of the resorts have lovely pool areas so it doesn't really matter.

Some people say of the 3 that Cabo is the most expensive. I would agree. Cabo is the playground to the rich and famous. Most fly down on there jet for the weekend from LA. PV is the cheapest of the 3.

If this is your first experience in Mexico then any of the 3 will be great. p.s. June is the start of hurricane season and with a la nina developing, it may be a crazy year for storms on both the pacific and carribean side.

Cancun has the best beaches and many clubs and restaurants. Cabo San Lucas has the night life but some of the beaches aren't swimmable but plenty of nightlife. I think Puerto Vallarta will give you a mix of nice beaches and nightlife. It reminds me of the old Mexico with a face lift, if you know what I mean. So my vote goes to Puerto Vallarta. There is seclusion, tourism bustle and something in between. We stayed in the southern part, it was more secluded. But we did go into town. Loved it.

Have a great trip and enjoy.

I've been to Puerto Vallarta a couple of times now and it is a lot fun. There are many things to do and they have these huge awesome night clubs there. But Cabo San Lucas is absolutely beautiful. I would go there so that the two of you can relax and enjoy the scenery. There are also many things to do there and Cabo seems to be a bit more Americanized because of all the tourists that visit. Which ever place you decide to go to I know you will have a blast. All 3 places are known to be very beautiful places in Mexico. Have fun!!!

The last time that we were in Akumal (one hour thirty minutes south of Cancun) it was in mid April in 2004. The water was beautiful and warm. It was also during the time that the turtles come in to lay there eggs. I had never really been in the water when so many turtles were present, and I was excited about the opportunity. I was very surprised at the aggresiveness of the turtles. I hope that the experience I had was an isolated one since I will be back next April in 2007. My encounter was fun at first but then it had a turn for the worse in my opinion. My turtle encounter was with a Loggerhead I think. It was a larger and older turtle and I am not sure of the gender of the shelled swimmer. I was caught completely off guard when I was attacked and suffered painful bite to the head from the old turtle. The bite had me very worried because of the amount of blood loss from my head. I thought for sure that soon I would be fighting off sharks that could have been in the area. Luckily for me I was only about three hundred yards from the shore. After a painful swim for safety and some first aid from the locals I was soon fine and able to consume some fine 1800 tequila and share my adventure. I was told that my story was very uncommon and that it would not likely happpen again. I hope that it doesn' t happen again. I will also be more respectful. I think that the real reason for my mishap could have been prevented. At first I pulled the turtles tail and then I poked his eye. I think the clincer was the drumming on the shell. The biting wasn't only from the turtle during my stay. I can also say that I sufferd an arm bite from a strange looking dog while near Coba and a bite from a quatamuindi (sic) at beach restaurant next to the Copa Cobana. I also go to both Cabo and Puerto Vallarta and those are different stories. Last time PV two weeks watched Super Bowl, too bad Seattle. Adios Amigo

It depends. The best beach is Cancun, but both Cancun and Cabo are like American resorts.

PV has a great nightlife and the downtown area (El Centro) is very much authentic Mexican in feel.

I think PV offers the best of both worlds although the beach isn't as nice.

And the winner is....... Puerto Vallarta

I've never been to Cancun. I like Puerto Vallarta but I liked Cabo better.

I hated Cabo! Puerto Vallarta is a very easy going town. I absolutely love it! Cancun is more tropical i think, with crystal clear water. My husband is from Mexico and Cancun is his favorite!

Cancun can be an start door to your desire vacation just such as this place hotelbye so you can get there. Cancun features state-of-the-art hotel facilities on the list of greatest clubs, bars, and malls only some legs far from the many lovely beaches on the planet.Among the areas you will need to see may be the Isla Mujeres. Here, the great breezes hit across the area during the day and night and here you will enjoy: the snorkelling, the diving, the swimming with dolphins, the rural beaches for moonlight hikes and individual interactions, and ratings of waterfront restaurants surrounded by great shopping and wonderful normal scenery. If you're buying a Cancun location place to curl up, Isla Mujeres is the spot to come.

Personally, I find that Cabo and Cancun are so americanized that you might as well go to Miami. Go for Puerta Vallarta!
