I used to be able to do it, but now when i delete something it shows on my computer that it has been deleted, but it doesn't actually delete it from my ipod. Now it's all wonky and when I click on a song, it plays the song thats 4 or 5 songs under it. I think the titles are still there, but maybe the songs really have been deleted...?

I connect my ipod to my PC with the data cable.. then itunes comes up. From within the itunes software it shows me all of my songs on my ipod (mini in my case). From there, I can click on a song and just delete it that way (I think).
Then be sure you eject the ipod before disconnecting it.
Did that help?

Try some of this:

1. Reset an iPod. Hold menu and select buttons until apple logo shows up on the display then coneact it to your computer again.

2.In iTunes app. go to Advanced -> Consolidate Library.

3.Re-install iTunes ( I pressume you use the newest version).

4.Delete all your music from your iTunes app. but not from your hard drive then import the music again.

If nothing helps, restore your iPod using iPod updater.

Delete it from itunes and then plug it into your computer so it can be updated. I write down the song and artist so I can check my ipod after and make sure it was updated correctly. This is especially helpful when you have tons of songs like I do.

ok im assuming ur talking about on the go playlists. just delete the playlist on ur iTunes and then plug in ur iPod and sync it with ur iPod. ur iPod may make its own random playlists like mine but when they sync just delete what u want and it will update onto ur iPod
