Is modesty (one's manner of dress) still a standard/indicator of morality in your society?

I absolutely think it should be.

The so called new way of thinking is trying to make society believe that being half naked shows pride, when it doesn't.

This is why many people look at our society (American) with disdain because of the rationalizing of immorality and immodesty.

No, you don't have to cover in a sack cloth to be modest, but wearing skimpy outfits is to the other extreme.

Everyone seems to want to go to the opposite ends of the spectrum and by-pass the medium. Both are equally ridiculous.

On course, how else are you going to distinguish the unwashed from the pure of heart. Look at Bush, he is always dressed so nice. You can't really run a decent war if you are not dressed for it.
People of the sixties tried to get this point across to the establishment, but of course, they misunderstood it thinking that hippie's like to be dirty. You know "dirty minds are revealed by dirty clothing and dirty magazines. But, the average working stiff was too quick for that trick!

No, I don't believe it is always an indicator of morality just based on how one dresses. I think it is very judgemental to say someone is immoral just because they dress different or show more skin than someone else thinks they should. I do think there is places where you should dress more conservatively such as court, job interviews, funerals, etc. But, honestly, to say someone has no morals just by how they dress is dumb.
