Why do we lie just for a reason to cry?

Because we like to have wonder in our life. Wonder always ends up less than what you wondered. To avoid this fruitless loop, participate as a part rather than apart.

Who says we lie, just for a reason to cry? I don't believe people lie just to have a reason to cry. A child might do that up to the age of 10 or 12 just to get attention, because there is a lack thereof.

However teens, or adults don't lie. Teens have allot of hormones running around them, and they can cry for no reason. So they don't want to feel silly when asked "why are you crying" they therefore feel compelled to make up a story which is really not a lie. They themselves don't know the reason.

Adults however, usually cry for a reason. Even if it is only PMS, which again is only because their hormones are running rampant, and they also don't want to divulge the truth as they are embarrassed. So they make up an excuse.

That would be severe desperation to relieve surpressed emotions of sadness, guilt or pain that has been trapped inside for a very very long time.
