A good science fair project?
I think she could build a model plane an explain the physics of aerodynamics. If not that she could try to break down the colors
Red Blue and Yellow. That would prove difficult but worth it if she can do it. I am sure that will get her an A+.

I did.... : Are Dogs Color Blind? It is a GREAT idea. I WON my science fair with this project. If you have dogs you can test on them by using 5 white socks (Rolled in balls), and I color one. Put all the white socks on a pile, and show the dog the colored sock, and then turn the dog around, and put the colored ball, in with the white ones. Then tell the dog to "Find the ball!" Then see if the dog finds the colored ball by smell, sight, or gets the wrong ball. It is a really fun project! Also, you could call your local vet, to ask their opinion on color blindness.
Good Luck!
Hope I helped!
(P.S. - A 'Best Answer' is appreciated! Thanks)

You both should check this web site out to find an idea, and examples. My brother has used this website in school to help him find unique ideas for his project. There are a lot of fun and easy ones as well!

One time I did these Rock candies....You have sugar water, and a string inside and the candy forms on the string...you take pictures everyday, and write a journal on what happens then you explain why it happens.
Another one is the stomach of the body...make a model of the stomach and label each part then explain what each part does. I got second prize on that one..

A hand-built crystal radio.
Start with a kit -- then replace the parts with handbuilt equivalents. She'll need to get a galena crystal from Ebay.

Take three batches of lemon jello and dye one batch green (food coloring) and one batch red. Give taste samples to friends and family and ask them which flavor they like the best. You'd be surprised how much their perception of color affects their sense of taste (and their answers)
