Depending on your definition of 'large', the closest bodies of water are:

Gulf of St Lawrence (technically, part of the Atlantic Ocean), to the northeast.
The actual Atlantic Ocean, to the southeast.
Lake Ontario, almost due west.
Lake Magog (due west)
Lake Massawippi (southwest)
Lake Memphremagog (west and southwest)

Well the city is located at the confluence (meeting) of the Saint-François River and Magog River. To the south west there is Lac Magog and to the south is Lac Massawippi. Lake Memphramagog is located further south/ south west and is much larger.

The nearest ocean is the Atlantic Ocean which is to the east.
