Well, I actually work for Social Security, so I can answer this probably better than anyone on here. No, your kids DO NOT lose anything if you remarry. Even if he later adopts them, they still do not lose their benefits on their birth father's record.
If you're receiving benefits on his record right now, your benefits will stop if you remarry. If that's the case, you just let them know right way that you're now married and the benefits should stop.
Again, this should have no effect on your kids.

No, only if the guy you marry decides to adopt them. If you are receiving spousal survivor benefits and marry, you will lose your social security.

No, it will not affect their SSI unless he adopts them. This happened to me my dad died and my Mom remarried two years later and I collected benefits all the way through college. However, you should contact your local SS office to be sure.

I understand that finances are important, but you do realize that the line, "Honey, I would marry you except my kids have these checks coming in." comes across as a wee bit tacky.
Don't let a monthly check from SS run your life. If you want to remarry, do that in spite of the consequences to the check. It shouldn't even be a consideration.

No they will not. If you are receiving benefits they will cease when you report your new marriage but the children are not effected. Any amount that you were receiving will now be added to the children's benefits.

Your children will not loose their benefits until they turn 18. You however will loose yours. My son is 18 now and will get his last check in May when he graduates.
