The US higher education system is different when it comes to medical studies. Medical Schools are graduate schools that offer a Medical Doctor (MD) degree lasting four years (in addition to the bachelor's degree). These schools are extremely selective and are quiet expensive, and some of them will only admit US permanent residents or US citizens due to the costs and extreme student debt medical students must endure.

Having said that, you must know that there are some universities that do offer scholarships to international students, however these are very competitive. Harvard University is one of them. You should do some research on medical schools and see which accept and offer scholarships to international students. One way to do this is to acquire a list of the top US medical schools by going to this link: http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/grad/rankings/med/medindex_brief.php

As for admission requirements, first, you must complete a bachelor's degree (a four year university or college degree) in order to get accepted to a medical school. You can pretty much major in anything, but you will need to follow a curriculum for pre-medical students that includes courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Most US medical schools will only accept students who graduated with a US bachelor's degree.

Second, you must take the MCAT exam. This is part of the application requirements for US Medical Schools. Recommedations, extra-curricular activities, volunteering activities, and other supporting materials are also part of the requirements for most medical schools.

I am not familiar with a (2 + 2), but I would suggest that if your goal is to go to medical school in the USA, then you need to start your college education in the USA. Most US medical schools will not accept students with international college degrees. However, if this is not possible, then finish your medical degree in your country and opt for a residence or a specialization program in the USA.

Good luck!
