I just went there last night and they were all fairly attractive, but I would not be surprised if that was a criteria since businesses will try anything to get people in the door.

A couple ppl I know work at the outback and I have seen some of their fellow servers and they were nothing special. I worked for the resturant for a long time (not outback) It seemed that is wasnt that servers had to be super goodlookin as much as really clean. They would only hire ppl that cleaned up nice. I mean would accept food from someone grungy looking, its is mostly about apperance in resturants, but not really how you think. It is just a bonus when they are hot

No they are not. I am sure looks helps your hiring process but I have seen some not so attractive working at my outback steakhouse. It would be against the law to not hire based on looks

? I have no idea, but I bet it depends on the manager doing the hiring!! I worked at Red Lobster for 3 years when I was just out of high school. There were no ugly servers! and it was a male manager doing the hiring.

No I wouldn't say that. I've been to about 4 or 5 in that many states and never noticed any really hot servers. They were all different sizes and shapes, but they were all very good at their jobs

They hire servers who are well groomed and hopefully well trained. Which shows self respect that in return applies to good customer service and business.
Ex: A beautiful girl with dirty finger nails or/and oily hair is placing your silverware on the table ... or would you want a well groomed plain Jane to place your dinnerware?
Personally, I dont care what the Heck she/he looks like, but I do care about hygiene & a pleasant personality.... I AM PAYING FOR GOOD SERVICE!

No way ! My older (38) somewhat fat blading ex used to work there as a server... Though did say that some of the supervisors favored the young pretty girls... Gave them better sections, etc.

Well, I think so, 'cause in Dominican republic Outback all servers are good-looking, it's a pleasure to go there!!!!

I don't think that's the case for the one by where I live. Over there, they're not even attractive. Now at Hooters, the servers are pretty cute...

Nope, sometimes the food looks way better than teh server.
