um actually u wrong , any race that is low poverty will make a place look like ghetto. they get free housing and then they break it down, the government spends so much money on building these homes and these ppl have no respect, and its not only black people , and compton is a BLVD. I drove down there before , its not as bad as it looks in the videos.

Black people don't make ghettos, the real estate movers and shakers do that for them.
You see, in order to have a high class neighborhood, you have to have a low class neighborhood, otherwise there is nothing driving up the property values of high class neighborhoods. There is a ying to every yang.
The real estate people dictate the zoning of areas in your neighborhood. They decide where it is appropriate for schools, hospitals, businesses, and taverns to be.
If you feel that an area is a ghetto, don't blame the crack dealer on the corner. He's gonna go wherever the ghetto goes. Blame the rich white business owners who lobby to have districts open for development, or closed to be ghettos. Blame the mayor and the police departments. After all, who's best interests are they fulfilling?
You would think that cops would just hang out in ghettos to bust all of the crime riddling the area, but you will find the exact opposite going on. The ghetto will always be the ghetto...it is the upper class we need to protect and serve, right?(at least in leader's minds)

I live in a small, what you might call a "nice" town. There were a couple black families that moved into the neighborhood. Their kids were getting into some trouble. But in all actuality, the things they were doing weren't so out of the ordinary. But everyone noticed it more because they were black. And they failed to see that their "perfect" white children were getting into trouble right along with them.
My point is this...when you see everything in black and white, you only notice the black more, which is why you think it's the black people's fault.
By the way, what about sex offenders? I see a lot more white people who are sex offenders than black if you want to try and draw a line down the middle.

If we look past the racist diatribe, we can see the basis of a real question. There is a problem with the black community in America. Bill Cosby was the first black man I have seen with the courage to confront it. White and black need to put aside personal thoughts and attack the problem with out ranker.
But questions like this and people like this will not solve the problem. I just hope that enough people with courage do step forward before it is too late.

I hope that you are not generalizing because to my knowledge, there is more white trash out there then anything else.

The reason you hear about it so much more is because no matter how much people claim to be "non racists" a very large numebr of them are and are closing their eyes when it comes down to their own.

Yes, there is a good number of African Americans that have had the misfortune of growing up poor and having to tend for them selves since no one within the country wanted to help them. In all honesty, I could also say the same about whites, hispanics, chinese, etc...

On the other hand, there is even a bigger number of African Americans that have been fortunate enough to grow up in a normal familly, financially stable. Where do you place them?

American people need to stop the hatred, it is a self destructive path.

First of all, having grown up in DETROIT, i'll say that the Riots of the 60s is what screwed up our city. It's never been the same since. Not to mention the crippling economic situation here due to the Big Three damn near going bankrupt. You sound really childish and it's apparent that you haven't done any real research. FYI...we're not the only one's getting into trouble so get off your high horse. Here's some stats you can choke on. And I don't care about the fact there's less blacks. Lack of character and morals, not race, is why people screw up their neighborhoods and commit crimes. As you can see below, whites also have people lacking in character and morals:

The following list was taken from data from the FBI. They are 2005 statistics of various offenses committed by whites/blacks, respectively. After looking these over, how does this affect your prejudice, or does it?

Forcible Rape - 65.1% white/32.7% black
Aggravated Assault - 63.3/34.3
Burglary - 69.6/28.5
Larceny/Theft - 69.3/28
Motor Vehicle Theft - 62.8/34.8
Arson - 76.6/21.2
Violent crimes - 59%/38.8
Property crime - 68.8/28.6
Forgery/Counterfeit - 70.7/27.6
Fraud - 68.7/30.1
Embezzlement - 67/30.1
Stolen Property - 64.1/34.2
Vandalism - 75/22.5
Weapons - 59.3/39
Sex offenses - 73.6/24.3
Drug abuse - 64.7/33.9
Offenses against family/children - 68.5/29
Driving under influence - 88.4/9.1
Drunkenness - 83.7/13.5
Vagrancy - 59.3/38.4
All other offenses 67.3/30.2
Runaways - 71.4/23.1

I dont know and good question. I live close to detroit and it is so bad down there. All the house are burned down and there is just trash everywhere. So the blacks are moving out of the area in to the surrounding suburbs and they are starting to look like detroit too. Trash everywhere, abandon building, and higher crime rates. It is fine to want to move out of an area like Detroit but dont move and then turn the city you moved to into Detroit.

Bad behavior has more to do with poor role models, bad early life experiences, negative self-concepts and stereotyping than it has to do with color or race. Whites as well as Blacks have turned many nice towns into "ghettos" with behaviors that are characteristic of people who have poor role models, bad experiences early in life and negative self-concepts. Black people do not like being around any of those people and White people do not like being around any of those people either- no matter what color they are!

Well I dont know about "all" black ppl being "ghetto" and turning neighborhoods bad and all but I live in a mostly white neighborhood and i gotta tell you, the kids in my hood are bad and annoying and their parents do nothing about it, but i bet you if those kids had been black, someone would have said sumthin about how bad black ppl are turning the neighborhood upside down..

Well if you have a problem with that all you have to do is stay your scared @ss away from those places! Now wasn't that an answer that just made too much sense?

You know, that's part of the problem also. People just do not use common sense. You don't like a place, don't go there! Simple!

Just keeping it real!
