I am having an infertility work up done and our next step is supposed to be the Huhner's test. The doc gave me alittle bit of an explanation, but can someone that has experienced it, tell me what it is???? And also, my husband's sperm count was at 3 million, what could that mean? The doctor said it should at least be at 15 million. Does that mean that the problem could possibly lie with him instead of me????I know I'm asking alot , but I would rather this came from someone with experience, than someone who has read a bookk and did a few years of studying.

It is a test that is done 1 to 2 days of ovulation
it is done to asses your cervical mucus and the ability for the sperm to survive in your cervix
for more info go to Google and just put Huhners test
you will get a lot of info on it
I think all women going to infertily must had the same test done but under different name
Goodluck & Take care

I have never heard of this test. My hubbys was at zero the first two times and then 1million the next time. By changing your hubbys habits, you have a chance to increase the sperm count. If he uses tobacco, has high stress, runs a fever or even taking ibuprophen.......that all affects his sperm count. I've read onlline where people have conceived by themselves with a 1million count, but our fertility doc suggests doing IVF for a better chance. And yes, that may be the reason for your infertility issues. But it also depends on you and how your body works.

I also have issues so its been a battle for 2 yrs. We are not giving up though. Good luck.
