It's frustrating when you constantly have to live with people passing judgment on you. I first would suggest that you talk with your doctor about PCOS. I like you eat right and exercise, but I was never loosing the pounds. Then they found out I had hypothyroidism and PCOS. I'm now currently under treatment and the pounds are starting to come off, I recently lost 13lbs in approx a month. That's good for me considering I couldn't even loose a 1lb a month eating right and exercising.
You can read up and take quizzes on line to see if you fit into the PCOS category. Just do a search on PCOS and you will be over whelmed with websites. www.webmd.com is my favorite to do medical research.
As far as people passing judgment....they are not flawless they only think they are, not to mention they are NOT comfortable in their own skin, so they don't understand how some one that is large can be. Keep your chin up and they are not worth fretting over. I was raised that it didn't matter what people thought as long as YOU KNEW you were a good, honest person. Good luck to you.

Well the important thing is that you are doing it for yourself, don't worry about what other people say. You know in your heart what you have done and will do.
It takes a long time to get that weight off, no matter how many or how few there are. keep plugging away.
the important thing is that you are in good health. If the doctor is happy well that should say it all you are a success if you ask me it takes a lot of determination to eat right and to exercise regularly especially in today's world.

you are not a failure!
you should look into other medical conditions that may be contributing (as another poster suggested).
and ignore the negative guy-- i was overweight & in good health in every other way. obesity can often lead to health problems, which is why it is unhealthy, but so does being sedentary & it's such a double standard that those people are okay--as long as they're thin! and an overweight/obese person may actually be HEALTHIER if they eat right & exercise--but are ALWAYS considered to be unhealthy by the 'masses'.

You are in no way a failure. We all come in different shapes and sizes and that's what makes us unique. Keep up the good work (staying healthy). If the pills help you drop some pounds, great! If not, try to be happy knowing you are in good health otherwise.
Take care of yourself.

The doctor could not tell you that you are in good health if you weigh 300 lbs. Unless you are over 8 feet tall. Come on.
You cannot be doing what you need to do if you still weigh 300 lbs. No way. Impossible. Maybe you need to go to one of those inpatient rehab facilities. Where they have complete control over your diet and exercise. I bet you would be shocked at all the wrong things you are doing--or just not doing enough of.
