Is it AJAX, CSS or ?? I am not asking about the programming part. I know my data and I use a similar slider on my web page, but this one is awsome. Anybody has any idea how to do the exact thing?

Thanx Rex M but I couldn't find the exact place in the URL you sent me. There are just so many controls and libraries.. Can you spot that for me please ?

Like virtually all interactive elements on Yahoo! products, it uses the YUI library to achieve those effects. Yahoo! has released the library for developers, along with very complete documentation, at http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/

RE: your details - download the library here: http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/download/

documentation is here: http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/docs/

examples here: http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/examples/

There is no specific example for how to reproduce the specific gadget on Y!A - rather, the YUI library provides functionality like "fade element"; "animate element"; plus a myriad of other functions. It's your job to tie it all together into a specific application that does what you need.

How boring! it's not ajax... just old fashioned dhtml

javascript + css.

Yahoo uses a mediocre library called YUI. (they wrote it)

Basically all the panes are in the html, and the buttons control next, back, and others. there's also a setTimeout to automatically go forward.

I use http://jQuery.com for similar effects, and the code is much simpler!
