can i use a memory card from another pc to make my memory larger-- if compatible of course--?

Yes you can if you have an extra memory slot. I do it all the time. Install it and see if the BIOS detect your additional memory when you boot up.

If compatible, yes, of course.

If you have a spare memory slot.

Use Belarc Advisor to see spare slots, etc.
