My boyfriend and I are getting ready to move in a week from our apartment... Does anybody have any suggestions on what to pay more attention to while I'm cleaning? Are there any certain areas that the landlord pays special attention to during the walk-through? A checklist might be helpful...

1) Clean the tub, sinks, and toilet
2) See any spots on the carpet that are obvoius? Try a strain removal
3) Look on the walls and spot paint in major marks. Cover up nail holes.
4) Clean out friend COMPLETELY
5) Make sure that nothing is OBVIOUS. That's the clue.

the walls, carpet, drapes, oven and stove, under sinks, cob webs, fridge. ask friend to do a walk through and let them tell you what they see wrong and fix it right away sometimes it's better to get a second/third opinion before the landlord comes

Make sure and clean under the top of the stove! Junk drips down in there and people forget about it.
