how do i take a flue out of a chimney?

i have had a back boiler removed and need to take the flue out so i can install a new gas fire.

if you are going to fit a new gas fire ..why not fit one with a balanced flue ..then you can go straight out the back ..that is if you have room ..and you outside wall is not on your neighbours boundary ..but if not you can all ways drop a flue liner down from the top ..its flexible ..BUT and its a big BUT ...ANY works done that involves a gas supply MUST be done by a CORGI reg fitter ..if you do it yourself you are begging for trouble ..allways play safe
