The youth of today is NO good. They are lazy and stupid. Morality has gone down the drain too. We need to return to the moral values of the 40's and 50's. People respected their elders back then and didn't question authority like it was such a bad thing.
Everyone is having sex earlier and girls are dressing like prostitutes. Young people know nothing about their world. They probably can't even point to Iraq on a map. People from my generation had it right. There is a reason why we are called "the greatest generation."

Oh yeah, let's go back to the 40s and 50s, that sounds great! When women weren't equal and racism was accepted. You know nothing about young people now. We work really hard, we're not all Paris Hiltons. People had sex young back then too, they just kept it a secret. Birth control and equal rights, who needs that? Young people now adays are...going to school until they're 22 so that they can graduate and get a job that probably won't pay enough to move out of their parents house. Do you know how expensive college is? Kids are graduating thousands and thousands of dollars in debt. Others join the military and take on being in combat at 18. What you see on TV is not reality, so get over it. You're just as bad as a racists, and you probably are!

This question cannot be answered without taking into consideration the fact that practically all families today are built on a foundation of which both parents have to work. Who has the time to adequately raise a child today. Human beings have backed temselves into a corner(but that is a different matter altogether).

Its the parents' fault. We started listening to child psychologists too much and so now its socially unnacceptable to punish your children anymore. Parents would much rather spoil their children and let them walk all over them so they can be "happy" rather than put their foot down and let them know who's boss.
Not to mention, a lot more parents have more demanding jobs these days and it is not easy financially to maintain a comfortable lifestyle. With the parents absence so much of the time, it leaves the door wide open for teens to do as they please. I think people should realize that life is not about having the nicest houses and surroundings as it is to have a good family life. If one parent has to sacrifice some income and some material items to ensure they know what their children are up to, then so be it. Children who have a parent who stay at home with them have much better child/parent relationships and therefore end up being more honest with their parents making it easier for the parent to remain in control.
