like any other, the legal system is fair and impartial. so different groups get more benefits than others. for example maori is the national language but to get a court case heard in maori it takes months of petitioning and filling out forms.

the govt is ofcourse heavily invovled in the econoic welfare, we have a welfare system here, there are lots of people employed by govt agencies, the govt bailed out air new zealand, television one and two are owned by the govt etc..
