The way they DRESS??!?!?!?

Well, one of the early developers of computers (and coiner of the word 'bug' to mean something wrong with a computer) was a woman.

The chair of the committee that wrote the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights was Eleanor Roosevelt -- in fact, she was head of that whole branch of the UN dealing with the non-military/security stuff.

Women who have fought for the vote and equal rights for women have had a trememdous influence on society.

After all, women are a bit more than half of all people -- it's not as though society were a male-only deal.

There have been women who were writers, teachers, scientists, scholars, and every other influential thing.

How they DRESS?!?!?!?

Give ME a break!

Women are socialized from birth to behave in a particular manner, dress a certain way, and carry around a negative set of beliefs about the sex that they are part of. Some women internalize the oppression and thus feel that this is natural. Michel Foucault, philosopher and social critic had many interesting observations and if you can check out some of his writings you will understand why females think and behave in such manners.

Women affect society in exactly the same ways that men do.

Women are the natural caregivers. Mothers are the people that children look up to for love.

Since women have left the home, many children do not feel the love that they did once long ago.

(Now I'm not only blaming women for the crumbling of society either. Fathers are the people that children look up to for respect. Fathers are plain not there at all, even if they are still living in the same home as the children. Sitting in front of the TV does not make for a good father. Boys need guidance and girls need assurance. Without the love and respect of the father, girls lose their self-esteem and boys lose their understanding of what's right.)

But yeah, women's lib went too far. That coupled with the sexual revolution destroyed the healthy fabric of our society.

uh... they are a part of the society, yes? why are you acting as though society is some huge monolith and women are something that affects it instead of participating in it?
