So Sorry to hear of your situation. I have heard from different people that you can get food, clothing, any type of personal care items, and also assistance for light bill, water bill, other misc.items through the local salvation army center, and or local churches are usually very helpful with different things.

First of all you are a real home! They love you and that's why they are being great. I have a HELP number in Miami and in alot of cities they do. Its a huge data base of organizations that include churches, clubs, etc. Sometimes food-stamp offices don't ask enough questions. I once was told I earned too much but when I proved I had nothing left for two weeks after I paid my rent they gave me food stamps to be used only for those two weeks. You have to prove you are "off kelter". Also call the child support office and don't give up. Its a jailable offense to not pay support. You have to tell them you have an emergency situation and they will push your case up. Also the kids have to help too with turning off the lights and water when they are not using them and not pressurize you into spending grocery money on junk food or sodas. There a few children's programs that help the kids get shoes and clothing and toys like basket balls (cheap fun). Since you have the Internet use your zip code and look for those programs. Keep your chin up and your self esteem. I can only imagine what you are going through but it sounds like you are on the right track.

try getting disability and unemployment money

also try to get mor assistance from the gov't.---th pay my taxes to help those like you not the bums who can work but don't or the ones having too many kids and should be using protection

i would also try to get support from you ex-wife if the kids are under 18 since they live with you---you deserve this money for them and it is the law

you can get food at a food pantry---i used to volunteer at one until my job demanded more time

for housing i would try group housing, habitat for humanity (my fmaily volunteers with them) or a local church

you can also get clothes though local charities as well as furniture and such---it just takes some time hunting all this down

i would go to a local library and research soem things to help get you started on this

i wish you the best of luck and hope you find a home and get back on your feet again :)

First, is there someone that you have elected to raise the children in your death? If so, is it possible that all of you can go there until the end?

If not, look for someone, there are many people that would do it just to keep the siblings together. What state are you in?

Look at boarding homes, and some states may have family housing for hospice.

Need any help, email me at dlm1ok@yahoo.com

Can't you call a social worker at a hospital and have them evaluate your situation. They are usually pretty good at finding help. What about hospice, being you are terminal? Best wishes.

Call social services in your area. Look for crisis hotlines in the phone book. There must be someone who could help you. Good luck and pray hard! Good be with you!

How about selling your computer, Hank? I bet you don't pay your internet bill with food stamps.
