First see if they are listed on the internet, then go to the on-line yellow pages and find it there. If you can not find it where you would expect to find it go to your state web site (usually the pages that have to do with commerce will have), if this business has to be licensed then you find it there, usually. Find the name of the chief honcho of the company. Copy all this information down. Now if you have tried to resolve this by phone always take/write down:
the receiver's name or if they take complaints using a service get the persons ID Number.
The date and time.
Briefly what was talked about.
Now comes the letter, it is simple, never use nouns or pronouns or names. This makes the receiver/reader of the letter feel like that you are personally attacking them.
Use verbs such as:
The company
The Corporation
the person
anything to make it that you are not directing your anger or complaint to that person/reader.
I know it works and it works well.

Strange, the replies. I thought your complaint would be with the retailer who sold it to you in the first instance. If you're after free goodies or compensation, the retailer won't cough up anything other than the cost of the product and they may say they'll approach Nestle on your behalf. Then, you can do the same yourself and see what happens.

If you don't see the address , you may see the company that makes the candy. Sometimes they have an #800 number to call. other times you can just write to the company.

Nestle make this product, which should put you off it for the rest of your life.
If you think they will listen to a complaint from insignificant folk like us look at my link
