i was looking into buying a used one any suggestions as this will be my first bike

These are great bikes. They are fast, stable and you can carry a good sized load. You can remove the bags and have a sporty looking bike.
They have made this model for many years and it has a proven track record and is as reliable as they get. I have seen these with over 100,000 miles and many with over 40,000 miles.
I can't think of any weaknesses to tell you about. Just keep the oil changed and follow the maintenance schedule for valve adjustments. You may want to invest in a new cam chain tensioner after about 30,000 miles. Happy riding.

Even though the Concorse is a very reliable bike, I wouldn't recommend it as a first bike, it's very top heavy. Unstable at slow speeds (under 10mph). The very narrow handlebar width, adds to this problem.
