Brian, of course we can start enacting change without them. I don't need a law to accept responsibitlity for my footprint on this earth. I act where i can

so far, the elected republican officials who can enact laws are on board with recognizing it...who cares about their voter base..this is an issue to be brought to the attention of law makers, not an 'electabiltity' issue.

We care if the Conservatives are trying to distort the data and hold back measures which could help the problem.

Well, the problem with global warming is that it is a problem. It is not some political bull sh*t that only matters for an upcoming election. It is an epidemic that is affecting the whole world and will continue to becoem worse if we don't do anything about it. It does matter that the republicans deny the problem because if we are so busy bickering over wheter or not it is happening we will never take the necessay stept ot stop it. I agree that it is a waste of time to argue, but no, we cannot just move on.

Being more on the Hebrew side of things I say tribal law under God works and government sucks.
However From Adam to Jesus they all knew that the rich money blood suckers would destroy the world and follow Lucifer and fallen angels into rebellion to destroy the world.
Obviously they are poor let them have it.
They value nothing but money and put a price on everything. Look around sad shape wer'e all in here and it pisses me off. What would you like me to do about it though? All I can do is pray that the rebirth of the Earth does not take out the good people of the world.
And praise God cause the woman is giving birth to a new world and we are in the throes of death and birth to a new begginning and destroyers will be banished like Cain.

I don't think it is a matter or liberal vs conservative, unless you classify anyone who does not believe in global warming as a conservative. The earth is heating up. We need to adapt, yes, but we do not need to panic. There are a lot of problems facing us right now, and rising ocean levels are only one of them. The earth goes through cycles, we can't change that. Perhaps we are partially to blame, but right now we have to be willing to sacrifice to actually make a difference; we do not have the means to effectively stop the pattern without adapting our lifestyles. Even among those who are advocates of trying to slow global warming, very few are willing to change their lifestyle to make a difference. Mr. Gore is just one example. Tell me what we should do to stop global warming, and we will see who then is willing to actually do it.

You reap what you sow is so true and the seeds of global warming are sprouting every where .
So yes I care what my neighbor does because it affects me .
Just like smoking indoors , we banned that fairly easily against the will of million s and millions of smokers .
Now they can not smoke at the beach .
So yes I want everyone to be forced to get with cleaner air for all of us .

Global warming or not, we should conserve. Less use, less wastes. I don't want to live in a sterile world with no wildlife, forests, or nature to enjoy.
I do my small part, it may not be much but we are all responsible for making the world a better place to live in.

There are 120,000 liberals in America. My guess is 10% might care what RedsStaters think.

That would be about 1 per every 25,000 Americans.

I think that the Cons who are global warming deniers are just marginalizing themselves, trying to turn it into a referendum on Al Gore is just a fool's strategy (after all his approval rating is 70%), and when they say stupid things like (as one did a few minutes ago on another question) "mother nature can take anything we can dish out" (yeah, right like a few nuclear warheads can't destroy all life on earth), they are only proving what mugs they really are. Ignore them and let them spew.

liberals don't care about what conservatives believe on any issue!! This is the problem. They say we all need to get along and work together to solve the problems of this country. But then they only want this on issues that they agree with such as global warming, social programs, minimum wage, etc. When they are asked to compromise or work with conservatives, they through a fit and never do...
