Although I notice that American society is very sexually open, it is shocking to find that the people who are most open and experienced about sex are the big, bad guys & the hot-looking women. The remainder of the people are either too naive to know all about sex, or are too religious about it.

Don't you wish that ALL Americans knew more about sex & are able to judge when to have a relationship and when to have some fun? And rather than putting a "ban" on sex outside marriage, would it not help if the govt. instead decided to help educated ALL Americans about sex & relationships - that way would be the best to vastly reduce or prevent STDs?

Because if only the “big” guys can have all the sexual fun they want, most likely they will also carry “big” STDs......LOL

Good point.

And we are not really "sexually open". A few boisterous people are, but most are prudes who think that our government should spread THEIR feelings about morality.

I think people know more than you think, they may not know all the answers but you would have to live under a rock to not know that having sex may cause pregnancy or it may cause disease and as far as only the big guys or hot girls having sex I really don't agree with you on that one, all kinds of people have sex everyday, there's always somebody waiting to tap it, you just gotta find em. Also just educating someone on something be it sex or otherwise doesn't mean they are going to do it. When you let your pants do your thinking you totally forget what you learned in 6th grade health class, education is okay but it ain't the trick. You never hear aids victims say if I had only known I might get aids from my choice to have sex I would never have done it, they knew there was a risk and now they are paying a price, the same price we probably all deserve because of our sexual encounters.

Well, I'm assuming then after you get married and have two kids and your wife casually tells you she met this hunk of a guy that day and had sex with him, but it's no big deal she's not interested in him, just sex, but they used a condom so it's cool, you'll will say.

Cool. Have fun?

If not, maybe you better re-think your question's modifiers....

She this is how open sexuality works. There are beggers and choosers.

MEN are always beggars.

Even Tom Cruise can't walk up to a girl and say: Hi, how about some sex?

Now almost ANY girl can walk up to almost any guy and say:

You want to find a place and screw for a few hours.

NO guy worth his salt will say NO.

Women are choosers.

They got the garage and NO man likes to leave his car out on the street in the cold and rain!

Let's see a recent survey of married couples over age 70 showed that at least 95% of them did not wait until they married to have sex the first time. So that blows out the idea of waiting for at least the last 50 years (in reality it was every age questioned right up to and over 100!)
Now the reason for ignorance is our right wing (nuts) and their disillusion of pre-marital chastity. An illusion because 95% of them didn't wait themselves! This Elizabethan attitude comes from the ideal of waiting. An ideal that doesn't even exist in the Holy Bible. In fact Mary and Joseph (mother and stepfather of Christ) lived together prior to their marriage. It was normal then, they could even be intimate if they wanted to (they did not the Bible says, but it was perfectly moral for them to.)

As for government they have no business in my bedroom. There is a real societal need for government to educate our children on STD's and unwanted pregnancy that come from pre-mature intimacy (sex when too young and immature.) This education should come at home but most kids in the US don't have much of a home life anymore. Not to mention most people are just too embarrassed and ignorant to teach this to their kids.

I agree. Even in sex eduation programs we had when i was in school, it WAS about abstinence. My advice is to always be safe. And please know the person's first and last name...lol and stray from one night stands. I myself am very open about sex (not promiscuous i am married, but very informed), and i dont see myself as a hottie or anything. As for not having sex before marriage, i think thats a terrible idea. I understand peoples moral reasoning, but sex is a huge part of a relationship and if two people are not sexually compatible, i am sorry but a marriage wont work in my opinion.

No, sex is something VERY special between a man and a woman. Its not something just for fun as the liberals would have you think. Its not OK to just have sex when ever you want, it exists for a very special reason and should be respected just like electricity or you can get hurt by it. Extramarital sex is wrong, period. Thats not a religious belief, thats a social value. Another thing the liberals have people lacking today.

Unfortunately religion is interwoven with politics whether we like or not so government education would probably be something along the lines of abstinence.
