I am doing a paper for school on gay marriage and I need to include some laws that are being passed. Where can I find information on the current laws that are being passed against gay marriage.

I can not use Wikipedia. I will be marked down dramatically on my paper if I do. What are some other sites that have good information on laws that are being passed against gay marriage. And facts of how many states allow gay unions and how many don't. I know that no state in the United states supports gay marriage, but they do have unions.....correct me if I am wrong!

The only trouble with Wikipedia is that it's often wrong. While you may find links to interesting sites, you'd be better off starting with a more accurate set of facts.

If your school has access to information sources such as Lexis/Nexis, use their search tools. Alternatively, you could contact one of the Gay & Lesbian organizations to find the latest on this legislation, since they're very active in fighting against such laws, and/or one of the conservative organizations that promotes passage of the laws.

Start with Wikipedia.

That will give you an overview of concepts, and links to many of the more relevant sites on the web.
