Mrsunshine is right; just text back stop and they will stop sending you messages!

This is a problem I've been seeing lately, not just with Verizon but all cellphone providers. Spam text messages are difficult to track because many times the spammer has found a way to block the sending number. I've heard of people who receive 50 text messages a day, all garbage and spam and there is no way to stop it. The only solution is a number change, or have your service provider block all incoming text messages altogether. Write the FCC, as cell-phone companies aren't going to make a way to block spam messages until someone makes them due to the incredible income they get from it.

If its advertising that coming from verizon you shouldn't be getting charged for it if not at some point you opted in to that specific site. Call Customer Care and have them put an SMS block on your phone but this will prevent ALL text msgs from coming to your phone. You can't pick and choose unless you know the originating site and can go back to it to opt out.

at the bottom of the message there should be a link or a number so you could put your no# on the list for no spam or you could call your carrier and let them know that you don't want to recieve any more of those messages. Hope this helps you. LATER

I know with Cingular it says you can text "STOP" in reply to the message to get them to stop sending those stupid advertisements. Not sure if it's the same on Verizon, but you could check the next time you get one.

call your customer care, and if they cant completely block them from coming in then you should just not open texts. you may want to look into a texting plan. texts are so quick and easy, and a lot of people are using them more and more
