I would not vote for him but I feel for his family and his wife. What I heard just now is that his wifes cancer is treatable but not curable. I am assuming his wife has encouraged him to continue.

I have always thought that John Edwards is a class act. I am sorry that his wife has cancer. I am sure that he will not use that to enhance his run for office. He was from a poor family, worked his way through law school and is now a wealthy man. He has lived the american dream.

I guess it says a lot about the guy. His wife is suffering from a potentially life threatening disease and he finds the strength to still continue the fight for the White House. Even though his party didn't give him the nod last time around for the nomination and the country chose a different direction when his name appeared as second fiddle on the big ticket, he fights on. It really shows what is important to the man...personal power.
Honestly, if he had a shot, I may think differently, but my God, the guy is barely a blip on the radar screen, what the hell is he doing? Go to your wife, help her through this.
For all you liberals that vilify Newt for leaving his wife after surgery to remove her cancer, how could you now support Edwards?

John Edwards has no chance of becoming President. He is on an ego trip like most of these politicians.

I think it is shameless to have a press conference to announce that his wife's cancer has returned and that he will continue his campaign for president. A man with any humility would have issued a press release informing the public of the fact and that he plans to remain in the race. Period. Having said that, I'm sorry for Edwards and his family .

It would be the most vile of minds that would accuse this person of using his wife's tragic illness as a boost to his political platform.
I expect Ann Coulter to say something to that effect in the next week or so.

Class act.....Edwards is an upstanding guy, although his stance on helping the poor is somewhat hypocrytical, although it beats ths crap out of people who live in mansions and don't help anyone.

I don't agree with his politics, nor would I vote for him. I feel for him and his wife and children. I lost my father to cancer ten years ago and it was awful.

They are both a very class act and appear to be handling this with their usual grace and dignity.
