Most community colleges don't have residence halls. However, there are a few exceptions in New York:

-Genessee Community College
-SUNY Canton
-Onondanga Community College

I believe there are also others.

I believe that they will allow you to live on campus if you are from outside their area. Check their webpages and contact their admissions departments to discuss.

I don't believe that community colleges have on campus dorms or apartments which only helps to keep the students' education on the cheaper side. Aside from commuting, driving each day of class or taking the bus and/or train, getting an apartment unit nearby would probably be the only other viable option, however, rent for a decent living situation costs so much money these days. I'll post a website to find out about US colleges and universities which includes info on community colleges. How about calling a couple that you are interested in attending and asking if there are any age restrictions and about transportation and such.
