No, he doesn't die.
On an interview with JK Rowling she said that she thinks "he's been through enough already" and she "couldn't stand the hate mail" she'd get if she killed him.
She made it pretty clear.
Which is a relief...

I feel the same way. One one hand it seems very unlikely that harry will die simply because we don't want him to. I was confident that Harry would survive and I guess I still am but now I must admit that I'm a little worried because JK has repeatedly said in her interviews that the series is not a fairytale. And what always happens at the end of fairy tales.... we can only imagine Harry and Jenny and Ron and Hermoine walking off into the sunset in eachother's arms after they've defeated voldemort. But since this "is not a fairy tale" there is no way to safely assume any one, not even the house elves will survive. So on July 21, we can only pray for Harry's safety before we journey with JK into the deathly Hallows.

No one knows for sure right now except for JK Rowling
Here's what i DO know:
*Two people WILL die
*It is the last book
*The other person that could be 'the chosen one' could be Nevell
*It said in one of the books (order of the phoenix??) that in the philosophy it says, "Neither can live while the other survives"
So...based on that, Harry will PROBABLY die. It'll be very hard to end the series if the main character doesn't die...reader's will have a good reason to ask Rowling to write somemore!

Nobody will know anything until July when they can read the book for themselves. Ms. Rowling is very secretive - which is only stirring millions of kids into a frenzy. Nothing you can do about it either way - Ms. Rowling has already written her ending . Sit back, take some deep breaths, chill and wait for it to come out. In the meantime read something else. Try We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. You will love it. Pax - C.

Yes. J.K.Rowling knows for sure. She's also said that two major characters die. The length of the final book is 800 pages.
The rumors about Harry Potter and death are only speculation.

Only Jo knows for sure.
But, I think he will. I don't want him to, but I think Jo has to kill him off. That's the only way to assure that his story won't be continued by someone else.
Also, like someone above said, it's not a fairy tale. I think Harry Voldemort will kill each other off. Because "neither can live while the other survives"...

Not sure if he dies, but I do know that this is definitely the last book. The author has been on many talk shows talking about it.

He does not die at the end of series.
I've heard that he comes out of the closet and moves to San Francisco.
