I've played fantasy football for 15 years, and the best site to use is "cbssportsline.com". You can play for fun, or set up your own fantasy league and involve your friends. Usually the site allows you to do your draft and create line-ups a few weeks before the season starts, so like early September.

Fantasy football starts around the end of july or early august. The best sites to play and in order are the following.... NFL.com, Foxsports.com, Yahoo, ESPN.com and Fleaflicker.com..
The reason that I rank NFL and Fox above yahoo is because Live scoreing is free and have the best writers/ "experts" (really no such thing!). Yahoo and ESPN make you pay for live scoring. ALL of the sites allow you to do a live online draft and create a private or join a public league.

I play right here on Yahoo, but it won't open until July at the earliest. There are other sites as well - just do a search on Fantasy Football. You will find free sites, pay-to-play, and more information than you can hope for. And by the way - LT is the 1st pick if you get that lucky......

Dude...Yahoo! Sports offers the best fantasy games...For football, the draft process does not begin until July...Once you register, you are then put into a team, or you can even create a team. After that, you pre-select the players you desire to have on your team. Depending on how you select the process, you can either do a live draft, or a computer draft, which means after you pre-select your players, the computer does the rest... Have fun...I am doing baseball...You should try..

you've got a long way to wait. I would recommend ESPN fantasy if you have an account. If you don't, they are free and easy to make. My next choice would be Yahoo.
