Are you smoking pot now? You are breaking the law and God doesnt like when we break his laws or the laws given by the country or what have you so no your not closer, you are actually hurting him if anything...but some good news for you is that God forgives and he loves you no matter what but try not to take advantage of that...I know its hard...especially in todays world.
