there are phases in human life and when it comes to teenage plus pregnancy one phase overlaps with another.... so responsiblities and experiences in that age increases which becomes too much for a normal person so it becomes stressful and depressing if there is not enough support and understanding from the environment... this is interesting question i will add a star to it.... thanks

i think teenage pregnancy is depressing/stressfull because your giving up on alot of things you can do while your a teenager.
if your a young mother you will most likely not be able to do all the things you enjoy doing because you will have a baby to care for instead.
also, in highschool many students may look down on you because you got pregnant, but this isn't always the situation.
as for stress... they have a baby who wakes up at random hours crying, they need to feed the baby, change the baby, spend time with the baby, take the baby to the doctor, have money for the baby, etc.
of course parents will always be there but there is so much they can do.
:[ babies are difficult... and when your young you don't want to be thinking about a baby, you want to be out at the movies or a friends house eatting ice cream and watching a movie.
i guess that's why some teenage mothers get depressed/stressed.. there could be many other reasons.

Cultural factors also play a significant role on whether the pregnancy of a teenager would be experienced as stressful. Consider societies in which the average marrying age of women are below 20 years old. They do not experience and receive the same kind of stress teenage parents experience in developing and first world countries. Most modern societies place a negative stigma on teenagers who become pregnant. In addition to that, pressures coming from all sides of society aggravate the situation more. Financial concerns, disappointment from the immediate family, the responsibilty of having to raise a child alongside planning one's own life (i.e. education, career...) But for the most part, the situation becomes more stressful because of the lack of support coming from those immediately concerned such as the partner and the parents.

It's depressed and stressful because the mother of the pregant girl knows she's going to be doing all the work.
That's a very depressing and stressful thought!
The girl, she's having a blast looking at the Ultra Sound pictures and making a hundred copies on the Kodak machine for all her middle school friends.

It doesn't have to be. It depends on if you have support from the father, your parents and friends.
