i think the chicken was laced with some sort of hypnotic... locke's dad really wasnt there- with Ben's power of persuasion I think he made Locke "see" his father. i think the others will eventually take control over all of the survivors. they are gathering all of the best of them now so it will be easier later to overtake them.

I kinda thought Jack was the man from tallahasee. Isn't that who they went and got? I'd have to watch again to verify that though.
I feel sorry for Locke, he's had a rough life. I don't really understand why he didn't turn his "dad" in though, (if it really is his dad) The guy is a bad bad person, and now he's a murderer, and since John didn't turn him in, he got busted up.
Jack wanted to leave the island so he could bring back help. He is visibly upset about Kate and Sawyer, so he wants to get away from her. I don't think he'll become an other. He's loyal to his people, and he's seen the evil that Ben is. He's just trying to work with the hand he was dealt.

As for the dad in the box, who knows, that was really weird. I was thinking John would open the door and see another world inside it or something, I didn' t expect his dad to be there. Maybe that's how Ben knew about John. That guy could've been there for awhile.

Oh man, last night was great!!! I have been wondering about Locke for way too long. I don't really see Locke doing anything to his dad...I think he just wants to hang out on the island and forget the mountain of crap that piles on him when off the island. The thing with Jack is real weird. When I saw him running towards Sayeed, Locke and Kate at the end of that episode 2 weeks ago I was like whoa somethings about to go down, only to see him playing football with the others....that show drives me nutz but I cant stop watching...

No.

Jack actually has an agreement with Ben that he will be allowed to leave the island since he saved Ben's life. Jack is not an other, he is only 'playing along' until he can leave and get help for the other Losties.

He WOULD have been on that submarine if it weren't for Locke screwing things up again.

Locke does NOT want to blow up the island. He wants to remain on the island, considering he is not paralyzed there, why would he blow it up? Even though he's blowing everything else up.

Jack has not turned into an "other", he just made a deal with them. Who knows what's gonna happen, there are so many twists and turns. It's getting really interesting. The writers know what they're doing, they've already written the last couple of episodes.

Amazing. It could be a problem in the show. They are starting to explain all the unexplainable things by something that is unexplainable. If they travel too far from reality, people are going to stop watching the show. I hope they will get back to reality and that the "Magic box" is not real and just a way that they are messing with locke's head.

Darn easy, Jo,
Do what I did.
I was a bloke that lept from the Tallahasse Bridge, just for fun to replicate the song.
My guitar floated downstream, I obviously lived to tell the tale, As for being on submarines, I'd rather by flying.
So what will happen ?
My son, called Jack, will join me in going over Horseshoe Falls this summer, Niagra, in a canoe thing.
Hopefully we don't get locked up in a room !

Whee - such is life !

here's a connection for ya.... assuming locke's father is the man from tallahasse, there is a loose connection between him and juliette who is from miami.... it's a very loose connection, but it finnally ties florida in again.
