I am in the market for one but do not want to get ripped off on a lot of extra costs.

Tracephone-$10-$50 for a phone
Cheapest prepaid card is like $10 or $20 I think
(Not the nicest looking phone)
Virgin Mobile(I'm using)-$5-$100 for a phone
Cheapest prepaid card is $20
(They have the nicest prepaid phones)
T-Mobile- $30-$200 for a phone
Cheapest prepaid card is $10
(They have the most amount of prepaid cards, but a very small selection of prepaid phones)
Cingular-Same as T Mobile I believe
Boost Mobile-Don't know, lol

I have a tracfone
cost $15
comes with 10 mins of time
minimun refill is $18 at walmart
they want you to at least buy 18 dollars in time every three or four months
thats it.
I like the fact that I can have it with me in case of emergency
no monthly payments
it may not be for you if you talk on the phone a lot

cingular its free mobile to mobile it takes one doller a day from you and all mobile to mobile is free the other calls are 10 cent a minute after you spend a 100 dollers they give you bounes. also you can join a 65 doller plan and get free nights and weekends just call 611 on your cingular phone
