I have recently bought an external DVD Writer but whenever I try to make a DVD it doesn't play back properly - it's all black and when you move it on it's all green and upside down. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

It's quite difficult to describe really but I have some video files on my PC that I want to put onto DVD and I set it all up and it does it but then when I play it back to see if it works, that's when the picture is all green and you can vaguely see the characters underneath upside down.

Buring DVD's is simple, the best way to burn a DVD is to use SlySoft AnyDVD and CloneDVD. You must use AnyDVD to decrypt the DVD (in the background). Then CloneDVD will copy it. It is very easy and will work 99.9% of the time. You get a 21 day free trial, but it's worth it to buy. No other DVD programs I have seen work as easy and consistantly as this one. (You can download the crack from limewire or bittorrent if you would like).

Your question is a bit vague - need more details.
Make a dvd that does what? Films? Data?
When you say all black, what is all black and what is green an upside down?

DVD Shrink is a good and more importantly FREE program that will make a DVD which yuo can play in your normal DVD player through the tv

It could be copy-right material that you're trying to burn and that's causing it to be black or green or whatever. Sometimes the software they supply with these burners aren't very good. Look in the help section of your software.

Verify that your burner is working properly first. Buy a few rewritable DVD disc as these things get expensive when they're wasted. Try transferring files to a RW disc and if that works, try making a slide show, music or small movie DVD.

Also, try using different software. You can get free software or trial software. Try ahead Nero.
