Stop, breathe and understand that you must change your mood.....then go about trying to do so. I would walk out and Look Up.....not at the Sun, maybe the Sky...If there are Moutains where you live look at those.....Ocean, river or stream...these things relax me, maybe they will relax you....breathe some fresh air..... Drink a glass of water....its refreshing......and just think about Nature......and peace.....you find that about 5 mins of that could stop your foul mood........

For me I go for a walk or do somthing I like doing. Go for a bike ride maybe. My negative moods make me want to eat and eat and eat! So instead, I find an activity that will take my mind off of the negative thoughts. Call a funny friend who makes you laugh. There is more majoc in friendship than we can see!

Take deep breaths, pray, and then treat yourself to something you feel like you deserve. Being in a bad mood and having negative thoughts still warrants you to feel good about yourself. That's why you're having negative thoughts to begin with and bad moods because something is not making you happy. You're not treating yourself to a reward of comfort.

Figure out what's causing. Take a few moments and think of the worst day of your life--the day your cat died, the day your favorite pet ran away, etc. Compare the day to the that.
Is today really worth wasting because you missed the bus or something along those lines?
Also, spend a few moments alone, closed eyes, and rubbing your temples. Think about happy moments.
Life is too short to waste on the bad days!

Write down what things in your life right now that bring you joy. When you feel bad, look at those. It should change the mood.

By distracting yourself. The best escape is a great hobby. Find that "something to do" that you can get passionate about and go for it. This way, instead of moping around you will be doing something interesting and fun.
