You need a master farmer or master scientist. Take them to the pond at the top right. They should see "FISH" in this pond that they will take to the beach and place in the sea. The fish will eventually eat the algae but you have to make a few trips.

You can't remove the algae until you have obtained the 3rd level of farming and you have a Master Farmer. If you are out of food do this:
Obtain 5,000 tech points and purchase 2nd level of engineering. Drag a villager to the bottom of the stream just before it all spreads out to start building a dam. Once the dam is completed it will take about an hour to have your first crops. After that a new crop will show up every 4 hours (normal speed play).
You can also use 1,500 tech points for 2nd level of farming for coconuts, but the villagers will go threw those in a couple of hours and you will be out of food again in no time.

It will take a while but you need to get to the next level of agriculture so you can start farming to feed your villagers. Make sure your builders have built a dam first, though. And you're going to need a scarecrow or your farming won't yield much. When you get to the third level of agriculture after that, then you can take your best scientists to the pool and they will identify algae eating fish and take them to the ocean. It will take many fish before the ocean will clear - but then you'll have unlimited fishing from then on.

I havent gotten too far yet, but to make a fire drag a person to the debree of wood, then drag another towards the south-west of the screen near the bush to get dry grass. Then put a person by the fire and then presto... fire is made. In response to Martis.. as long as you have enough food the villagers should stay alive.

first you have to have all the farming tech paid for
then you put a master researcher and a master farmer in the pond with water fall
they will catch fish and carry them to ocean
this must be done several times to clear the algae

Never even heard of the game to be honest, but you should probably try GameFAQs.com, they have FAQ's for many games.
Now the only question is if its a PC game, that you bought, or did you download it from somewhere? If so, then I dont know if there are any guides on it or anything really, your best bet is to try Google and just search it up.
