Mariline, (could be spelled different), but It would be part of Maria and part of Caroline, pronounced (Ma-dee-leen) the r would be silent. It's because i want to use both my grandma's name and my fiancee's grandma's names who have passed. What do you think?

The name is ok. But, the spelling needs to be different. I'd never get madeeleen out of Mariline. I would pronounce it Mary leen. IT seems the spelling should be more like Madiline.

I like where you're going with this, it's a beautiful meaning, and a unique name. But i'm not sure as to why you're pronouncing it that way. I hear Mariline pronounced "Mare-i-line" (short i sound) in my head.. And when I say it that way i really like it. But if you're going for a "d" sound in there somewhere you should make it Madiline, Mariline just seems like it'll be said as it looks and she'll have to constantly tell people how to pronounce it if you pronounce it with the D.

No one will be able to spell it or pronounce it and it will cause her problems all of her life. Why not just go with Madeline or Marlene? Add a middle name to cover the extra names.

At first glance I didn't really like it, but the meaning behind it makes it a beautiful name.

the meaning behind it is beautiful..honoring both grandmothers is wonderful!...however...the spelling and pronunciation are completely off...and will confuse anyone that sees it.

it looks like Marilyn.

if you want that 'd' sound..use a d. otherwise it will be mispronounced constantly and your child will probably get annoyed correcting everyone.
