I got a call from the school nurse this afternoon. They wanted me to pick my son up from school because he had started his period and had quite a big stain on his pants.
When the nurse first called me I thought it was a joke. I had never heard of a male having a period before. The nurse informed me that it is quite common for young men to have their periods for a few years and then stop.
My son was so embarassed. He said that many of the students in his class had seen his period stain and was picking at him about his new uncle flo. He says that he never wants to go back to school again.
How can I convince my son not to be embarassed about starting his period? Help please

Oh my...I am sorry about your son. Unfotunately I have all girls and can't help with that one! The only thing I can suggest is some counseling at school for all the students! Children can be so cruel...good luck!

Congratulations, you end your latest shock/fantasy question by asking for help, which is a very important first step, so here is my advice: Find another venue for your ridiculous questions - too many people are actually putting time, energy and emotion into answering them. Ask yourself why you post such fiction about breast-feeding, incest, pedophilia/child abuse, adultery, "piss and pooh" (fortunately those have been removed, but then they only ever received a handful of responses, not the 50 plus responses you no doubt crave), and other "shocking" topics - is it cutting edge art? A social commentary? A psychology experiment? A need for attention? A need to feel important and clever by duping strangers? Pranks by a bored latchkey child? Or? Once you determine why you are doing this, it will be easier for you to find a more suitable outlet. Good luck!

Huh can this actually happen to a guy??? this is weird... I would take him to a doctor asap and find out more about this if i were you. How can he get a period and bleed like a girl if he is a guy? This does not make sense to me at all. He needs to go back to school again BUT first get him to a doctor and see what is going on. Wow this must be quite a shock to you. I wish you the best in getting him medical help and attention for this. I feel so bad for your son.

Boys do not have periods. He probably has a certain sickness, I know my boyfriend had one from his stomach and he would bleed a lot. Go talk to a doctor and figure out what's going on. In order to get your son back to school, first leave him alone for a few days, and once you've figured out why he's bleeding then he won't feel shy anymore.

Butterscare, sorry for thinking you could be a man IF in actuality you're not. Anyway, I'm serious about writing a book before someone else does about all of your bizarre stories and responses. I can already see someone take your ideas and run away with them all the way to the bank.

If this is true, it is not "quite common" as claimed.

Wait a minute, checked your previous questions and all of them are fictitious.

Based on your entries from the last 2 months, you have: a newborn, toddler, 4 year old (y.o.), 6 y.o. son, 10 y.o. daughter, 15 y.o. daughter, 17 y.o. daughter, 17 y.o. son and a long-lost father that is your mom.

Good try on the shock value. Write a book instead, your imagination will be put into better use.

Looking at your previous questions, I can tell this is not a serious question. While I thank you for the 2 points, I would suggest you be considerate of others and not waste our time with questions that you just make up. Thank You.

This has to be a joke. I have 3 boys and I have never heard of such a thing. At least not bleeding. I have heard of them getting emotional but never bleeding unless they have hurt themselves down below. My husband said he has never had a period.

everywhere from 2 days to 7 days is considered favourite. you may get yet another era in 2 weeks, or 2 months, or next month. At your age, on the commencing up of your menstrual cycles, they are very atypical. not something unusual approximately that :)

I took Rick46's advice. Life is boring sometimes isn't it? Guess you have nothing better to do than to post daft questions. Sure do have a lot of kids and such an age range!

I've heard of hermaphrodite s but this is the first time that I've ever heard a person ever claim to have one for a child.
