so causual and only as a physical thing before marriage and then after marriage their feelings get hurt when the person they "love" does not want to have sex with them?
In other words, when people say love and sex aren't the same thing they seem to eventually prove themselves wrong....Do you agree?

It's like when people say...."We don't need gun control...people kill people....guns don't kill people....." it sounds good.....
Until they get shot.

IT'S THEIR WAY OF LYING TO THEMSELVES. PEOPLE ALSO THINK THAT THEY CAN BE "FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS". IT DOESN'T HAPPEN. SOMEONE GETS HURT EVENTUALLY.

Sex can be a part of love, and love a part of sex; but they don't overlap 100% necessarily - and I think this is what people might mean by saying it's not "the same thing". Yes, sex can be purely "physical" sometimes - but I would bet that for most people there are emotions involved to one degree or another; they won't necessarily be called "love", but it doesn't make them less valid. The word "love" itself has many shades of meaning. To argue that it is all or nothing is simple-minded.

Love & sex aren't the same thing. But once u get married the ball game changes........Sex is a important part of a marriage. And when ur partner doesn't want to have sex with u when ur married they feel u don't love them anymore or ur cheating on them, or u don't find them attractive anymore. You don't always have to love someone to have sex with them, but it wud be nice. When ur married sex is a way to share ur love. When ur single it can just be u need that physical release nothing more.......

I HAVE MIXED FEELINGS. I THINK LOVE AND SEX ARE THE SAME TO A POINT AND THEN LOVE TAKES OVER. SEX IS IMPORTANT BUT IT IS NOT WHAT THE MARRIAGE SHOULD BE BASED ON. I DON'T THINK THAT PEOPLE SHOULD BE HAVING SEX WITH A WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE EITHER BUT I CAN'T STOP THEM AND I KNOW THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT I THINK. THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS TEACH MY KIDS TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND LET IT GO FROM THEIR.

I think it's a woman vs. man kind of thing. For women, sex and love go hand in hand. For men, they can have sex easily without emotion or love involved.
That's just my 2 cents.

Men view sex as a prerequisite to love, women view love as a prerequisite to sex.
Before marriage, women tend to focus on 'oh men can have sex without love'.
They tend to miss out on the fact that men feel unloved without sex.

Let's put it this way, sex doesn't have a correlation with love necessarily.
One is a physical act, the other is an emotion.

I would say who cares as long as your having sex....women are creatures of their emotions while men we don't care who we have sex with as long we are having sex

Put that way, I agree. If he doesn't have sex with me something is wrong he just doesn't love me anymore. You guess is as good as mine but your question is a thinker. Thanks!
