I think the only reason try to lower someone else's self esteem, is because there self esteem is low also and they think it makes them feel better when it really makes them look like crap. Just try to look over it the best that you can. It can also make you feel better in a way, it can make you stronger and make you feel like you are the bigger person.

Because "so many people" have low self-esteem themselves and they want to feel better by making other people feel bad! Isn't that one for the ages?

Some people build themselves up by tearing other people down. They usually are loser types, and that's their only way. They don't have the talent to do anything positive to build themselves up, so they go the other way.

People want to be the center of attention, all eyes on them you know.
of course they want someone else to feel low so they can feel high.
its a habit.
their losers who put others down to feel as low as them.
everything is a competition, someone has to be the best.

people who make others feel bad about themselves do it because they hate themselves and can't stand others to be happy so they trash other people until everyone else feels just as bad

Because they don't have enough confidence to face others, so they hide behind their limitations with doing like that.
