Probably teenage girls like that one who was crying over him the other night. They like him because he looks so feminine. They're not really listening to his voice. He's the worst and I can't wait until he goes. It's pretty pathetic.

All the teenage girls who think he is "cute" and those following the website votefortheworst.com. Unfortunately, there are many who are trying to keep Sanjaya on as a joke to American Idol. It's too bad that there are so many people who would rather do that then vote for the real talent.

I hate that kid! On the news last night, there is a guy who had a t shirt made with Sanjaya's picture with the words "Stop calling!!!" on it. He's not taking it off until he gets voted off the show. I see many questions like yours on this website and I can't help wonder if Sanjaya's getting this kind of negative attitude, then who the f*#k is calling and keeping him on??!!! I say send these callers to Iraq to fight the war and bring our proud and brave soldiers back who we know would not vote for this freak.

American Idol is never really a singing contest until the top 4-5. Before that, it is basically a popularity contest.
People will vote for their neighbours, family, same ethnic group etc... no matter how bad the person is.
Only in the end, when they have no relations left with anyone will they vote for the best singer.
Oh and there is also VoteForTHeWorst.

LOOK at the DEMOGRAPHICS for Idol....... 13-16yr old girls. They are voting, Howard Stern followers, Vote for the Worse and the whole country of India. Does any realize that they have billboards of this kid plastered all over India? Do people realize that India residents can vote? This is a more of a factor than VFTW and Stern. Plus look at the Indian population in the US.
It is purely a popularity contest until they can get rid of this kid.

I totally agree with you. I think we all know who will win.. Melinda. I mean she already had a musical background to begin with. But I also like the guy who does the weird noises,lol. But yea,i cant remember his name. I have been wanting Sanjaya voted off now for weeks. I think the only thing keeping him in is all the younger viewers actually voting,and older folks like myself just watch it for the entertainment.

Every 8 - 15 year old girl in America. He's totally got the "tween" vote. The little girl weeping on the show this week is a prime example of his audience and fans.

Not me i think he is overated and he is getting worse each week, the only performance he even did a little good on was the first one and even that was not that good. I have never and will never vote for Sanjaja. Go Blake Lewis!!!
