Sanjaya on American Idol??? What is America thinking? Personally, I would rather hear him sing than talk b/c when he talks he sounds like a WOMAN!!! But why is he still on there? HE SUX!!!
Am I the only one who thinks this?

There is a website called votefortheworst.com that is trying to get everyone to vote for Sanjaya to keep him on. I would say Sanjaya is staying around due to their votes plus the votes of teenage girls who think he is cute. Too bad people are not voting for real talent. Hopefully, as Idols are eliminated those who had voted for them in the past will move their votes to the real talent.

I don't usually watch Idol until they get to the final 12, and this time I'm not watching because everything I read says it sucks this year. I have heard this child sing, and why he is still there, I don't know. I don't know how he got past the judges, let alone caught the attention of the American people, or whoever the hell is voting for him.

American Idol is never really a singing contest until the top 4-5. Before that, it is basically a popularity contest.
People will vote for their neighbours, family, same ethnic group etc... no matter how bad the person is.
Only in the end, when they have no relations left with anyone will they vote for the best singer.
Oh and there is also VoteForTHeWorst.

I don't think Sanjaya is a very good singer as well. I don't know why he hasn't been eliminated a long time ago. I'm guessing that it is younger viewers voting for him just on his looks.

Yes I agree and must I add he looks like a gay Michael Jackson. I cannot stand his voice,singing,and his hair!!!!! If I were to see this guy walking down the street I would so kick him in the face like that little girl that was crying for him. They both need to be kicked in the face, sorry!

My guess?? Little teeny bop girls (ages 9 - 13) -- like the one who was crying for him are the ones voting for him. It's not a good year for the Idol -- talent is weak.

I will totally agree with you on this one. I mean I am not sure what Simon was talking about when he siad that this ws his best performance this last week. He was very breathy and did more jump around and screaming then singing. He should have been gone this week. America please look for the talent!

America is not voting apparently ... frankly I am losing interest in the show... AL viewers have lost sight of what the show is about... HELLO people it's a singing competition!
