Sorry, FORGET all this rubbish about Hyde Park Corner or Marble Arch. Inverness Terrace is off of Bayswater Road near to Queensway, but Queensway station is closed at the moment, so the station you want is BAYSWATER, and that's lucky for you because you can take a CIRCLE LINE train DIRECT from Kings Cross (St.Pancras).
Please note that even if Queensway station reopens, as Bayswater station is less than two minutes walk away, you should still go to Bayswater as it avoids an unnecessary change of trains.

The nearest tube station for Hyde Park is either Hyde Park Corner on the Piccadilly Line or Marbele Arch on the Central Line. If you need Shaftsbury Avenu then your best bet is to get off the Piccadilly Line at Piccadilly Circus and walk up. Do you know the name of the Street your Hotel is on?
