How could I get the source code of an object.

In other words, if I want to write in HTML in a text feild where I could use tags, etc.?

I once pressed some keys on my keyboard by mistake and saw the HTML code of the object. I tried to find out how I ddid it, but I couldn't...

So I guess someone here knows

For example, I want to put a picture in a HoTMaiL message without putting it as an attachment.

So I'll write, . If I do so it ain't gonna work unless I go in the HTML source code itself. So how do I do so??
