To everyone who says Kobe: come on, now. He has to do it, or else his team will fall out of the playoff race. They had lost 7 in a row before his last 2 crazy performances (I am not one of those Kobe lovers). I have to say Gilbert Arenas, who is a selfish player and shooter (with an awful shooting percentage), not really a classic PG. Allen Iverson and Stephon Marbury round out my top 3

Kster, how can you defend Kobe by saying he has no one to pass to, then you put Allen Iverson in your top three? He has never had the team Kobe has had. Even so, in the last few years he has been getting about 6 or 7 assists a night (Iverson that is), and Kobe has been ballhogging since the championship days. That's why he and Shaq could never co-exist.

First i cannot say that Averson is or ever was a ball hog. When he was on the 76's how else was there to take dificult shots. Korver just sits on the three point line, and Igudala was just doing a cracker jack job when he did have the ball. Dalembert cant hit a shot further than 3 feet away. Now that A.I. is on the Nuggets he is taking about 10-11 less shots a game and has increased his shooting percentage by about 7%. Being a poitn guard he is going to have the ability to gain more assists, but what about Larry Hughes, Antonio Daniels, Jamal Tinsley, Luke Ridnour, Smush Paker, and Jason WIlliams. They do not average the same assists as A.I. but they are point guards. Another example is Sam Cassell. Poitn guard without a good assist total. Stephon is another one and I could co on. So A.I is not up to Deron WIlliams or Nash numbers in assists but tha tdoes not make him a ball hog. Gilbert Arenas, yeah he does hog the ball but he does make the shots. Now a good question is who hogs that ball that shouldn't be hogging the ball. I would have to say Marbury, or Peja

Kobe, of course. In that game that he scored 50 points he shot the ball 35 times. The next highest shot total was Lamar Odom with 12. That's 3 times as many shots as any of his teammates. If that doesn't define ballhog, I don't know what does.
